Goodbye to Lisbon

On our second and last day in Lisbon, I have to say with a slight hangover from the night before, we started off by meeting up with some friends for some serious breakfast at Kaffeehaus; a Viennese cafe right in the middle of the Barrio Alto. The place was just great and what everyone needed. Decorated in a simple but classy way, with huge windows and lovely waiters.

To eat most of us went for the Hamburger of the day…  Here is why:

beautifully grilled burgers with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes accompanied by roasted potatoes with a sauce made of chives, yoghurt and a tiny hint of garlic.

The soup was also a great hit.

And of course some of my partners in crime

After such a start for the day, a strong coffee and a long walk were in order. We left Kaffeehaus and went to the famous Praça do Comércio followed by some exploring of the Alfama. We just could not get enough of this amazing city .

This post is dedicated to my friends  from my Brussels times, I hope I get to see you all very soon!!
